ZebraTox was approved by ANMAT
December 2024: We certified the new Aquarium through ANMAT, being the first in the country with this national authentication.
We’re opening new facilities!
August 2024:Â We moved the Aquarium to the new UNQ space.
ANMAT approves the use of Zebrafish
June 2024:Â Following several management collaborations, ANMAT approves the use of zebrafish embryos (OECD236).
Growing period
Between 2012 and 2025: To date, we have published more than 30 scientific publications, made more than 100 conference presentations, and have collaborated with institutions such as the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), the National University of the South (UNS), Fiocruz (Brazil), and the University of Salamanca (Spain), among others.

December 2012: First scientific publication of ZebraTox: Effect of Risperidone and Fluoxetine on the Movement and Neurochemical Changes of Zebrafish.

March 2011: The first Aquarium of the National University of Quilmes was set up.
